Acne scars have ruined my life?

i had a bad case of acne growing up and it left me with moderate scaring.. I 'm a handsome guy who still dates but i feel like this has ruined my chances of being all i can be,,before i wouldnt have trouble approaching a really hot girl and now its hard just to talk to average looking girls and I still feel insecure....





i know i look better than most guys but the scars make me feel less than average.... this has really made me depressed and has destroyed my outgoing personality I once had....





It has destroyed relationships with good girls who really cared about me because of how insecure its made me... what should I do i find myself smoking alot of pot these days to dull the pain i feel like I aint good enough...

You can go to a dermotologist and get the scars minimized, but you should also look inside and realize that its your insecurities that are hurting your relationships, not your actual physical problems.


There is so much emphasis put on the physical and not nearly enough put on "who" we are inside.


You might want to spend some time volunteering for a cause that you feel strongly about. It will get you out of yourself for a while and give you the sense that YOU can make a difference, no matter how you look.





I have so many surgical scars from cancer, herniated discs, nerve problems and vein problems. I was upset about it the other day and my 10 year old son put it into perspective for me. He said, "Don't worry, Mom, just tell people you got into a samarai fight!". It made me laugh and realize that he doesn't care how many scars or physical imperfections I have, he still loves me and cherishes me as his mother.





Your biggest scars are internal. I think once you have faced those, your life will be much improved.

Consult a Dermatologist %26amp; she/he is the only one who can take you in a correct direction,I dont think we can remove the scars,But we can lighten/lessen them %26amp; the medications can help clear the skin from acne and stop any new acne coming in.

Reply:well i had bad acne scars as well. But i made the desicion that i'm not going to let something so silly ruin my life. Life's to short to worry about a little thing like that. But anyway. i used the neutrogena acne fading peel. It works great. Helps get rid of acne scaring and helps treat acne that u may have. U only have to use it once or twice a week. Just cause ur a guy doesnt mean u cant use it. Its works trust me. Hope this helped.

I heard laser peels aren't that good. They may be newer, but they aren't better.
