I need Acne and Acne scar help 鈾?

Acne and Acne scar help needed.?

Well i have never seen a dermatologist before. I'm kind of afraid to go to doctors (lol don't ask) so i cant be referred to a dermotologist (or at least according to my mum i can't)

But anyways...............

I have acne on my forehead, shoulderblades and chest. And every time i get anouther zit it takes forever to go away and it leaves a red scar that won't go away. I wash my back and chest once a day, and my face twice a day with Spectro wash. Apply clearasil if nessicary to my facial acne. I even use special coverup with salycic acid (whatever it is that is good for acne) But it doesnt seem to go away. But here are allll my questions

1. How long does it take acne to clear up after being treated properly (which it is i think)

2. How long does it take the scars to clear up

3. What products would you reccomend for washing and treating facial and back acne.

4. HEEELLLLPP Any other advice for clear skin.

Thanks soooo much.

It takes at least 3 to 6 months to clear up once they find the right medication for you. They should give you a retinoid that fades the old marks as it clears the new ones, and it usually takes a good while. I would use Neutragena Acne Wash (the one that's orange), and the Neutragena Acne body Wash, also Neutragena Acne On-the-Spot treatment. I would also recommend using one of the moisturizers that id oil-free if you have oily skin. It is really the best combination you could ever want, but sometimes they do recommend using Cetaphil for other people as well. It is very non-irritating.

Reply:i have the same problem...but a good face (or anywhere else) cleaner is Loreal Pure Zone:pore tightening astringent...it's REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!
Reply:im not sure if youve heard of proactive solution but that is THE best acne product! the first time i used it was about ten years ago. i had acne on my face and back. nothing worked until i tried that! also, try laying outside on your stomach so the sun hits your back. dont put any tanning oils on just leave it bare. the sun will dry up the acne and theyll go away. the website for proactive is www.proactivesolution.com its guaranteed trust me!
Reply:well first i use to be in ur position and maybe this is happening to u becuz u are using different treatment use only one and see
Reply:Wounds and scars heal when the area is moist. Keep your skin moisturized with a gentle lotion, Vitamin E oil, or even use that Mederma gel for scars. Eat right. Protein helps the skin and body repair itself. Don't pick the scabs of the healing pimples off. You will halt the repairing process and likely end up with a bigger pit on your face.
Reply:With all that you're spending on over the counter stuff, a dermatologist might be the best....have no fear! I have an aquainance that is a very good one...trained at Mayo Clinic. The strongest (and somewhat dangerous) med is called acutane. I don't recommend this unless you have a very, very bad case. Scarring can be a lifetime with each "bloom" and the back and chest can be nasty as you mature. You should find out what degree of severity you have to halt it's march. In this day and age, no one should suffer from acne nor waste money chasing advertised items. I do know you might be over washing and scrubbing tho. Be careful. In the meantime, drink lots of water It's cheap and will help in the long run.
Reply:I'm not sure if you've tried many different acne skin care lines such as Serious Skin Care acne line from home shopping network www.hsn.com or Dr. Patricia Wexler's acne line which can be found at Bath and Body Works and from QVC: www.qvc.com (Dr. Wexler's a board-certified dermatologist). I'm sure that it won't be too scary going to a derm and they can prescribe possibly more powerful medications including retin-a or differin both being topical (on the skin). I did, however, hear that while the (internal) medication Accutane is the most powerful of acne meds, that it can have serious side effects. Someone right here from 'yahoo answers' mentioned that accutane gave them Diabetes.

As for daily cleansing, a lot of derms recommend Cetaphil liquid cleanser which I use for my sensitive skin. It doesn't have any kind of acne fighting medicine such as the salicylic acid (which is from aspirin) that you mentioned, but it does a good cleansing job and without irritation. And please don't use those cleansers that get washed off but contain salicylic acid or glycolic acid as it really just gets flushed down the sink drain and can irritate the eyes. I got that tip from Paula Begoun's book 'Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me' where she reviews several different cosmetic and skin care lines. (Someone who used proactiv posted on www.youtube.com titled 'look what proactiv did to my face' and how he started out with mild acne and ended up with cystic acne and more scarring. He also started a webpage: www.propassiv.com and has photos of 'before and after'. Very unfortunate.)
Reply:Acne is a common thing.don't worry.daily care must aviod acne.i am a beaution i have also acne but when i care wel i can control myself.simple one don't use soap.use face wash i suggest himalaya neem face fash, then use tonerand moisturiser in himalaya.u must put a pack u can use himalaya mud pack once in a week and once in a month u do facial
Reply:I would suggest Maderma, My plastic sergeon told me to use that....i think it would help alot
Reply:hey try this stuff it worked good for me www.vilantae.co.uk its a pill n it slows down oil its a lil expensive but check it out it works good and put aloe on scars itll heal em quicker
Reply:Acuzine works by eliminating the cause of acne by removing all unwanted and waste materials from the body. It is a good source of antioxidants that remove the free radicals that harm the skin. It eases the inflammation and redness of various types and heals the damaged skin. It has successfully cured acne of all types for many years and the results have been encouraging.
Reply:Getting rid of the scars can be hard and a lot of the topical and external medicine will not help if it is hormonal.

I would look for something that works from the inside because a lot of acne medication can dry your skin out and make it worse.

If your skin gets dry it works overtime to produce more oil for you body and this will lead to more acne.

I have heard a lot of people use Acnezine and have good luck.
